Anonymous: soooo, do you have someone you really like right now? someone who's a candidate to be your first boyfriend?

Why is my dash full of questions like this? Whut whut uhhhh maybe? Hahahahaha

1. I collect belts. As of now, I have seven: black, brown leather, light brown, dark brown, violet, metallic white, and cream.
2. There was a time when I was young (I still am haha) when I ate corned beef and vomited. After that incident, I never ate corned beef again.
3. I have a weird body. I have scoliosis. There was also a time when they thought I had leukemia. And well, when I get fat, my tummy doesn’t bulge. Instead, my hips widen. Yeah, weird.
4. I swear a lot in person. Seriously. I don’t intend to offend people with it though. I just really feel like I have to swear to give emphasis on my expressions. To get rid of that habit is number one on my to-do-list.
5. I plan my outfits overnight. Ever since I reached senior year in high school, I’ve always planned what I’m going to wear to school every Friday. Actually, now that I’m in college, I plan them one week before.
6. I’ve been single since birth. Yep, I’m an NBSB person and I’m proud of it.
7. Anything blue amuses me. I don’t like light shades though (only when I look at the sky). I like them a bit darker. My favorite shades are midnight, and yale blue.
8. I’ve got tons of crushes. It seems like everyday, when I see a cute guy, he automatically becomes one of my eye-candies. They’re just words though. When i say I like someone (not I have a crush on someone), I really truly mean it.
9. I save hand written notes and letters. When I get gifts, I keep the to-and-from cards and store them. Before I lost my old wallet, I had about 20 notes kept in there.
10. I’m in love with old love songs. My favorite songs include Passenger Seat, I’ll Be, True, My Valentine, and Jetplane. When I hear those songs, I shut everything else down to listen intently to their melodies and messages.

So today, I added a little something to my usual shorts + top + sandals get-up. I wore this necklace to school. I’ve always been fond of necklaces but I never get to wear them because it’s a bit weird to wear them with a uniform (for me). Anyway, I’ve had this for 3 years and it was only yesterday that I’ve noticed it in my jewelry box. What a waste!

Anonymous: what do you think of the so called friend-zone?

Hahaha interesting. I’ve been using this to describe my guy friends these days. I think friend-zone’s just a term though. It doesn’t really say anything. I think you can never really “friend-zone” someone. There’s no such thing. You can’t ever tell what the future might bring :)

My day was a blur of events.

It started out with the usual “where’s everybody?” feeling back at home since bro had class and Mom was at work. I prepared my own food and started packing my things. I needed to leave early because I had a 3-hour make-up lecture class this afternoon for Sociology 10. To be honest if I didn’t like the teacher so much, I wouldn’t have bothered to come to class. Issa, Jash, Alleyya, and I commuted back to the dorm and after ten minutes, Issa and I left for class.

The class was not much of a big deal. Three hours of non-stop lecturing from the teacher plus some really awkward pauses when she jokes and offers us some candies. I didn’t think I would enjoy it but I did. Again, thanks to the teacher.

So we’re back in the dorm. We just finished eating dinner. Issa just remembered that we have to pass an exercise in Econ tomorrow and we have to finish it tonight so I need to go. xx

Sentiments of a Friend

I’m an awfully considerate person. My friends could attest to that. I don’t easily get mad but when I do, I make it a point to show the person that I’m not pleased with what he/she has done.

Lately though, I’ve been cold to some of my friends. I know they notice; I can feel it. I just want to show them that I’m not always going to be around when they need help. I don’t want to spoil them too much. Most of the time, when everyone’s given up on a friend of mine, I stay. I never leave. Yeah, I’m that good as a friend.

But I’ve realized that I’ve been way too giving that, sometimes, people abuse my kindness. I very easily understand people. I don’t ask questions much because when someone’s my friend, I believe that I am expected to stick up with him/her all. And I know that’s wrong in some way.

So I’m giving this. A message to say that I’m still here but I want you to realize that I need you as much as you need me.

My Monday Mornings

Posted 2 days ago

I drop the phone.

What did I just say?

I am startled as my phone began to vibrate. As I pick it up, I see that it’s him— obviously. I began to panic so I stumble with the buttons. I pressed end.

What now?

As I started to contemplate on the situation, I walked along a familiar street. I put my phone in my bag and search for my player instead. When I finally find it, I look for the song I’ve played a thousand times before.

And all I needed was a call that never came
To the corner of first and Amistad
